यह मंत्र सृष्टि की उत्पत्ति और उस परम सत्ता के विस्तार का वर्णन करता है। जो परमात्मा सर्वप्रथम सृष्टि के नियमों (धर्माणि) को स्थापित करता है, वही अनेक रूपों और शरीरों (वपूंषि) को धारण करता है। वह पोषक तत्व बनकर ब्रह्मांड के मूल गर्भ (योनि) में प्रविष्ट होता है। वह परम सत्ता उस 'अव्यक्त वाणी' (Unuttered Speech) को भी जानता है जो अभी प्रकट नहीं हुई है, अर्थात् वह सूक्ष्म और स्थूल दोनों का ज्ञाता है।
English Interpretation
He who first established the eternal laws (Dharmani) subsequently assumes many varied forms (Vapunshi). As the sustainer, He entered the primal source or womb (Yoni). He is the Knower of the unuttered word—the subtle vibration that exists before speech becomes manifest. This reflects the transition of the One into the Many through cosmic intelligence.
