रे रे चित्त मदान्ध मोहबधिरा मिथ्याभिमानोद्धता
व्यर्थेयं भवतां धनावनरतिः संसारकारागृहे ।
बद्धानां निगडेन गात्रममतासंज्ञेन यत्कर्हिचि-
द्देवब्राह्मणभिक्षुकादिषु धनं स्वप्नेऽपि न व्येति वः ॥ ३१॥

हे चित्त! तू मद से अंधा, मोह से बहरा और मिथ्या अभिमान से उन्मत्त हो गया है। संसार रूपी कारागार में तुम्हारी धन में अनवरत आसक्ति व्यर्थ है। तुम लोग "ममता" नामक बेड़ी से बंधे हुए हो, इसलिए देवता, ब्राह्मण या भिक्षुक आदि के प्रति कभी स्वप्न में भी धन का त्याग नहीं करते।

O mind! You are blinded by pride, deafened by delusion, and intoxicated with false ego. Your endless attachment to wealth within the prison of worldly existence is futile.
