६,३.१ — सर्वशक्तौ प्रवृत्तिः स्यात् तथाभूतोपदेशात्
English: Activity exists in all forces, as per the prior instruction (Tathabhuta Upadesha).
६,३.२ — अपि वाप्य् एकदेशे स्यात् प्रधाने ह्य् अर्थनिर्वृत्तिर् गुणमात्रम् इतरत् तदर्थत्वात्
English: Even in a single place, being primary, the accomplishment of meaning occurs for the quality alone, and for others according to that meaning.
६,३.३ — तदकर्मणि च दोषस् तस्मात् ततो विशेषः स्यात् प्रधानेनाभिसम्बन्धात्
English: In that action, there is defect; hence the specific effect is related to the primary.
६,३.४ — कर्माभेदं तु जैमिनिः प्रयोगवचनैकत्वात् सर्वेषाम् उपदेशः स्याद् इति
English: There is no distinction among actions, for Jaimini states that action and verbal instruction are one; hence, the teaching applies to all actions.

६,३.१३ — श्रुतिप्रमाणत्वाच् छिष्टाभावेऽनागमोऽन्यस्याशिष्टत्वात्

English: One becomes master by conjunction.
६,३.२४ — कर्मकरो वा भृतत्वात्
English: The doer is related by servitude.

English: That becomes the dharma by conjunction of action.

English: Generally, this is the intended purpose.
६,३.२८ — निर्देशात् तु विकल्पे यत् प्रवृत्तम्
English: By injunction, in alternative actions, the course is determined.
६,३.२९ — अशब्दम् इति चेत्
English: If it is said to be without verbal instruction.
६,३.३० — नानङ्गत्वात्
English: Because there is no multiplicity of parts.

English: In the absence of verbal instruction, the general principle represents another.

६,३.३३ — स्याच् छ्रुतिलक्षणे नियतत्वात्
English: It is determined by the characteristic of the scriptural injunction.

English: There is no desire for it.
६,३.३५ — मुख्याधिगमे मुख्यम् आगमो हि तदभावात्
English: In the acquisition of the main, the principal is that which exists, due to absence of a scriptural injunction.

English: If it is said to be active.
६,३.३७ — नानर्थकत्वात्
English: Because it is not meaningless.
६,३.३८ — द्रव्यसंस्कारविरोधे द्रव्यं तदर्थत्वात्
English: In case of conflict between substance and modification, the substance is primary due to its meaning.
६,३.३९ — अर्थद्रव्यविरोधेऽर्थो द्रव्याभावे तदुत्पत्तेर् द्रव्याणाम् अर्थशेषत्वात्
English: In case of conflict between meaning and substance, the meaning arises in absence of the substance, as the substance contains the residual meaning.
६,३.४० — विधिर् अप्य् एकदेशे स्यात्
English: The injunction may also be in one place only.
६,३.४१ — अपि वार्थस्य शक्यत्वाद् एकदेशेन निर्वर्तेतार्थानाम् अविभक्तत्वाद् गुणमात्रम् इतरत् तदर्थत्वात्
English: Also, because the meaning is possible, it may be complete in one place; quality relates only to the other, due to its meaning.
