३.४.३१ — लिङ्गाद् आर्त्विजे स्यात्
English: The action applies to the performer (Artvij) according to the identifying mark or procedure.
३.४.३२ — पानव्यापच् च तद्वत्
English: The same rules apply to beverages as they do to offerings.
३.४.३३ — दोषात् तु वैदिके स्याद् अर्थाद् धि लौकिके न दोषः स्यात्
English: In Vedic acts, defects may exist, but from a worldly perspective, no defect occurs according to meaning.
३.४.३४ — तत्सर्वत्राविशेषात्
English: This applies universally without distinction.
३.४.३५ — स्वामिनो वा तदर्थत्वात्
English: The effect of the act depends on its owner (performer).
३.४.३६ — लिङ्गदर्शनाच् च
English: The identification of the action is based on the mark (Lingadarshan).

English: Even in the absence of offerings, remaining rules are applicable.
३.४.३९ — उपायो वा तदर्थत्वात्
English: All means or methods apply according to the purpose.
३.४.४० — कृतत्वात् तु कर्मणः सकृत् स्याद् द्रव्यस्य गुणभूतत्वात्
English: The act is performed only because it is determined by the inherent quality of the substance.

३.४.४१ — शेषदर्शनाच् च
English: The remaining aspect (Sheshatattva) determines the rules of the act.
३.४.४२ — अप्रयोजकत्वाद् एकस्मात् क्रियेरञ् शेषस्य गुणभूतत्वात्
English: An unessential action is determined solely by the inherent quality of the remaining entity.
३.४.४३ — संस्कृतत्वाच् च
English: The act being well-structured or ordained defines its application.
३.४.४४ — सर्वेभ्यो वा कारणाविशेषात् संस्कारस्य तदर्थत्वात्
English: The significance of a Samskara applies because no particular cause is distinct among all.

English: The action is identified through its sign (Lingadarshan).
३.४.४६ — एकस्माच् चेद् यथाकाम्यम् अविशेषात्
English: If applied to one act, its effect universally remains undifferentiated.

English: The term ‘Daan’ applies to actions involving food (Bhaksha) and listening (Shravana).

English: The action is determined according to the related praise or eulogy.
३.४.५० — भक्षार्थो वा द्रव्ये समत्वात्
English: Rules apply for food because of uniformity in the substance for consumption.

English: By injunction or teaching, donation and its praise are established.
