आश्चर्य हुआ है देखकर सूर्य को ब्रह्मवेद भी है सूर्य समान

*ओ३म् ब्रह्म॒ सूर्य॑समं॒ ज्योति॒र्द्यौः स॑मु॒द्रस॑म॒ᳪ सर॑: ।*

*इन्द्र॑: पृथिव्यै॒ वर्षी॑या॒न् गोस्तु मात्रा॒ न वि॑द्यते ।। ४८ ।।*

यजुर्वेद 23/48 

आश्चर्य हुआ है 

देखकर सूर्य को 

ब्रह्मवेद भी है 

सूर्य समान

आश्चर्य हुआ है

जल सिन्धु अन्तरिक्ष में 

वैसा अन्तरिक्ष हृदय में 

मनस्तत्व भी है सिन्धु समान 

आश्चर्य हुआ है 

कितनी है भारी पृथ्वी 

कितनी बड़ी है परिधि 

इन्द्र आत्मा परमात्मा की 

अनन्त है गुणनिधि

कितनी है भारी पृथ्वी 

कितनी बड़ी है परिधि 

इन्द्र आत्मा परमात्मा की 

अनन्त है गुणनिधि

अनादि अमर हैं दोनों 

और देव भी है दोनों

सनातन है उनकी स्थितियाँ 

कर सके ना गणना कोई 

आश्चर्य हुआ है 

देखकर सूर्य को 

ब्रह्मवेद भी है 

सूर्य समान

आश्चर्य हुआ है 

ना कर पाएँ  गणना 

किरणें हैं कितनी रवि की

फैले अनन्त आकाश में 

जिसकी अनन्त द्युति 

आत्मा की गौ सम किरणें 

वाणी की वाक् शक्ति 

परिमाण माप सकें ना 

क्योंकि ये हैं अति

आश्चर्य हुआ है 

देखकर सूर्य को

वह अनन्त है

क्या तुम इस स्वयं प्रकाश और सर्वजगत- प्रकाशक सूर्य को देखकर आश्चर्य करते हो कि इसके समान कोई दूसरी ज्योति इस संसार में कहां हो सकती है ? पर देखो वह ब्रह्म, यह वेद उसी प्रकार स्वयं- प्रकाश और सर्वजगत- प्रकाशक है। उसको हमारे अन्दर यह ब्रह्म, यह ज्ञान, यह ज्ञान में ब्रह्म अन्दर की ज्योति है अन्दर का सूर्य है असली सूर्य है। क्या तुम इस पारावार समुद्र को देखकर समझते हो कि इस- जैसा जलाशय, इतना बड़ा सरोवर और कोई नहीं हो सकता? नहीं, ज़रा सूक्ष्मता से देखो कि यह अन्तरिक्ष इसी प्रकार का जल-वाष्प-मय बड़ा भारी समुद्र है, हमारे अन्दर इसी प्रकार का हृदय- अंतरिक्ष, बहुत बड़ा मानसरोवर है,इतना ही गम्भीर, इतनी बड़ी-बड़ी तरंगों वाला मनस्तत्त्व का बना हुआ दिव्य समुद्र है। क्या तुम बड़ी भारी पृथ्वी को देखकर सोचते हो कि इससे अधिक बड़ी, और अधिक वर्षों वाली चिरकालीन कोई और वस्तु क्या हो सकती है? परन्तु देखो, यह इन्द्र, यह आदित्य इस पृथ्वी से लाखों गुना बड़ा और इस पृथ्वी से लाखों वर्ष बड़ा है। हमारे अंदर यह 'इन्द्र' आत्मा, यह परमात्मा पृथ्वी से अनन्त गुना बड़ा है और यदि उसकी वर्षों से गणना करें तो इसका कभी आदि ही नहीं है,यह अनादि है, सनातन है और क्या तुम इस पृथ्वी के वृहद परिमाण को देखकर पूछते हो कि क्या कोई ऐसी वस्तु भी हो सकती है जिसकी कोई मात्रा नहीं, कोई परिमाण नहीं ? तो देखो, इस आदित्य को 'गौ' रूप किरणें इतनी है कि उनकी मात्रा नहीं हो सकती,वह गिनी नहीं जा सकती। अन्दर आत्मा-इन्द्र की गोरूप किरणें, वाणी आदि आत्मशक्तियां इतनी हैं कि उनका किसी तरह परिमाण नहीं किया जा सकता बस यही कहा जा सकता, है कि यह अनन्त हैं, यह अनन्त हैं।

Do you wonder on seeing this self-illuminating and world-illuminating Sun that where can there be any other light like it in this world? But look, that Brahma, this Veda is self-illuminating and world-illuminating in the same way. This Brahma within us, this knowledge, this Brahma in knowledge is the inner light, the inner Sun, the real Sun. Do you think on seeing this ocean that there cannot be any other reservoir like this, such a big lake? No, look closely that this space is a similar huge sea of ​​water-vapor, within us there is a similar heart-space, a very huge Manasarovar, a divine sea made of mind, as deep and deep, with such huge waves. Do you think on seeing the huge earth that there can be any other thing bigger and more long-lasting than this? But look, this Indra, this Aditya is millions of times bigger than this earth and millions of years bigger than this earth.  This 'Indra' soul, this God inside us is infinite times bigger than the Earth and if we count it in terms of years then it has no beginning, it is eternal, everlasting and looking at the huge size of this Earth do you ask whether there can be any thing which has no quantity, no magnitude? So look, this Aditya has so many 'cow' form rays that they cannot be quantified, they cannot be counted. The cow form rays, speech etc. soul powers of the soul-Indra inside us are so many that they cannot be quantified in any way, all that can be said is that they are endless, they are infinite.
