प्राचीन और अर्वाचीन सभी ऋषियों के द्वारा स्तुत्य है-- पूज्य है या विद्या की दृष्टि से प्राचीन और नवीन अर्थात् गुरु और शिष्य सभी के द्वारा स्तुति-प्रार्थना और उपासना करने योग्य है । क्योंकि स्तुति को प्राप्त हुआ- हुआ वह परमेश्वर (इह देवान् आवक्षति) इस संसार में हमें उपासकों,सूर्य, चन्द्र, वायु आदि दिव्य देवों को प्राप्त करता है वह इस मानव जीवन में हमें दिव्या गुना को प्राप्त कराता है।
इस मन्त्र में बताया गया है कि हम उस प्रकाश स्वरूप प्रभु की उपासना क्यों करेंक्ष? क्योंकि वह ज्ञानस्वरूप प्रभु प्रत्येक युग के पुराने और नए पहले और अब के सभी ऋषि,मुनि, ज्ञानी, ध्यानी, गुरु और शिष्यों, पिता और पुत्रों आदि आदि के द्वारा सदा पूजनीय रहा है और होगा। और फिर उसी की कृपा से हमें इस जगत में इन सूर्य, चन्द्र, वायु आदि देवों की प्राप्ति होती है या उसी की अनुकम्पा से हमें दिव्य गुण,कर्म , स्वभावों की प्राप्ति होती है।

That Agni Prabhu is praised by all the sages, ancient and modern. He is worthy of worship or from the viewpoint of knowledge, he is worthy of praise, prayer and worship by all, ancient and new, i.e. Guru and disciple. Because that God (Iha Devan Aavakshati) who has received praise, gives us divine gods like worshippers, Sun, Moon, Air etc. in this world. He gives us divine qualities in this human life.
This mantra tells us why we should worship that God in the form of light. Because that God in the form of knowledge has always been and will always be worshipped by all the sages, munis, knowledgeable people, meditators, Gurus and disciples, fathers and sons etc. of every era, old and new, past and present. And then by his grace we get these gods like Sun, Moon, Wind etc. in this world or by his mercy we get divine qualities, deeds, nature.
