आज के समय में यह शब्द बहुत अधिक प्रसिद्ध हैं, लेकिन इसका वास्तविक अर्थ लोग अब भूल चुके हैं, क्योंकि आज हम सब जिस ज्ञान शब्द से परिचित हैं, उसका साधारण जो अर्थ समझा जाता है, उसका मतलब है, कि जिसके पास किसी विषय की विशेष जानकारी है, उदाहरण के लिए कोई व्यक्ति जो मिट्टी के बर्तन बनाना जानता है, तो लोग कहते है, की इसको बहुत ज्ञान है, ऐसे ही कोई व्यक्ति लकड़ी के समान बनाना जानता है, बहुत सुन्दर सामान बनाता है, तो उसको भी लोग कहते हैं, कि इस आदमी के पास भी बहुत अच्छा ज्ञान है, इसकी प्रकार से कोई लोहे के सुन्दर सामान बनाता है, कोई सोने का अच्छा कारीगर होता है, इन सभी को ज्ञानी या अच्छा ज्ञानवान व्यक्ति समझते हैं। इससे भी ऊपर कुछ बहुत अधिक पढ़े लिखे होते हैं, उनको भी लोग ज्ञानी कहते हैं, इस प्रकार से ज्ञानी यहां पर दो प्रकार के लोग होते हैं, एक तो काफी पढ़े लिखे और अपने विषय में काफी महारत रखते हैं, और एक ऐसे व्यक्ति होते हैं, जो जिनको हम पढ़ा लिखा नहीं कह सकते हैं, अर्थात जो बिल्कुल लिखना पढ़ना नहीं जानते हैं, फिर भी लोग उनकी कलाकृति को देख कर उनको ज्ञानी कहते हैं। तो सत्य क्या है? क्या ज्ञान अनपढ़ बीना पढ़े लिखे लोगों के पास होता है, यदि ज्ञान बिना पढ़े लिखे ही मील जाता है, तो पढ़ने लिखने क्या जरूरत है, इस तरह से बड़े – बड़े दुनिया के जो प्रशिक्षण गृह विद्यालय, महाविद्यालय, और विश्व विद्यालय वह सब बेकार सिद्ध हो जाएंगे, क्योंकि लोगों को ज्ञान बिना पढ़े लिखे ही जब प्राप्त हो जाता है, तो अपने जीवन के बहुमूल्य समय को किताबों और गुरुओं के साथ समय बिताने में क्यों व्यर्थ ही खर्च करना पड़ता है।

यह बात बिल्कुल सत्य है, की दोनों के पास कला है, किसी विषय की अच्छी से अच्छी जानकारी है, लेकिन इन दोनों के पास ज्ञान नहीं क्योंकि ज्ञान का वास्तविक अर्थ जो हम समझते हैं वह नहीं है, ज्ञान का वास्तविक अर्थ होता है, जो जान से युक्त है, अर्थात जो जीवन से युक्त है, वह ज्ञान वान है, क्योंकि ज्ञान शब्द की उत्पत्ति और सिद्धि जीव से होती है, जीव से ही जान बना है, और जान से ही ज्ञान शब्द सिद्ध होता है।

ज्ञान का मतलब इस प्रकार से हुआ की यह सभी जीवित वस्तु में विद्यमान है, लेकिन यह ज्ञान परिष्कृत शुद्ध नहीं है, क्योंकि जब यह जीव भौतिक शरीर के संसर्ग में आता है, तो वह दूषित हो जाता है, जिस प्रकार से शुद्ध जल को यदि मिट्टी के तालाब मिलाया दिया जाए तो वह अशुद्ध हो जाता है, लेकिन यह जल जब तक आकाश में होता है, तभी तक शुद्ध होता है, लेकिन जब पृथ्वी के संपर्क में आता है, तो अशुद्ध हो ही जाता है, बाद में उसको बहुत प्रकार से शुद्ध किया जाता है, एक तो प्रकृति स्वयं जल को शुद्ध कर देती दूसरा मानव अपने बुद्धि के द्वारा तरह – तरह की विधियों से उसको शुद्ध कर देता है।

इसी प्रकार से ज्ञान जब तक मानव के अतिरिक्त दूसरे प्राणियों में रहता है तब तक उसको शुद्ध होने का अवसर नहीं मिलता है, उसको सबसे अधिक अवसर ज्ञान को शुद्ध करने का मानव शरीर में ही मिलता है, क्योंकि मानव शरीर के पास जो मस्तिष्क है जब वह विवेक से भरा होता है, तो वह स्वयं के जीवन अर्थात ज्ञान को शुद्ध कर लेता है, इस प्रकार से हम इस नतीजे में पर पहुंचे हैं की जो बहुत अधिक पढ़ा लिखा है, या जो बिलकुल ही पढ़ा लिखा नहीं है, ज्ञान रूप जीवन या जीव या जान तो दोनों के पास विद्यमान है, लेकिन वह पूर्ण शुद्ध ज्ञान नहीं है, जिस प्रकार से अशुद्ध पानी हमारे शरीर और जीवन के लिए खतरनाक होता है, उसी प्रकार से हमारा अशुद्ध ज्ञान भी हमें जीवन से दूर और मृत्यु के करीब ले जाता है।

जो व्यक्ति जितना अधिक जीवंत ऊर्जा से भरा है, वह उतना ही अधिक ज्ञान वान है, क्योंकि उसके लिए किसी को किसी प्रकार की शिक्षा लेने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती है, कैसे कोई व्यक्ति अपने स्वयं के बारे में दूसरे से जान सकता है, और दूसरे से अपने बार में ज्ञान प्राप्त करना चाहता वह अपन जीवन से अर्थात ज्ञान के मार्ग स च्युत हो जाता है।

ज्ञान का मतलब होता है, जो अपन अनुभव स जीता है, जिसको स्वयं को शुद्ध करने के लिए किसी दूसरे के अनुभव की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती जो अपने बोध से ही अपने को निखार लेता है, जैसे की हमारे ऋषियों ने किया है, हम सब भी ऋषियों की संतानें हैं, इसलिए हमारे अंदर भी वहीं चेतना है जो ज्ञान से भरी है, जरूरत है तो केवल अपने आपको परिपूर्ण स्वीकारने की और निरंतर स्वयं पर श्रद्धा को विकसित करना है, अपने आत्म बल को विकसित करना है, जीवन को जीने के लिए पुरुषार्थ और सक्रियता की जरूरत है। जिस प्रकार से गंदा से गंदा जल भी जब वह सूर्य की दहकती ज्वाला के सामने आता है तो वह उसके तेज और ज्वलन शीलता से परिष्कृत अर्थात शुद्ध हो कर वह वाष्प बन जाता है, और सूर्य की किरणों पर सवार हो कर वह अनंत अंतरिक्ष में गमन करता है, और वह उस अंतरिक्ष में अपना आसरा बादल के रूप में बना लेता है, और फिर शुद्ध जल के रूप में पृथ्वी पर बरसता है, इसी प्रकार से हमारा ज्ञान भी जब संसार रूप शरीर की पीड़ा का सच्चा साक्षात्कार कार करता है, तो वह शरीर से ऊपर उठ कर अपने अंतःकरण में विद्यमान चेतन जगत में ध्यान के माध्यम से रमण करता है और जब वह शरीर से संबंधित होती है तो वह उसी प्रकार से कार्य करता है जो कार्य अंतरिक्ष से शुद्ध बरसने वाला जल करता है। इसलिए जल को ही जीवन कहते हैं। जल और जीव की समान गति है, जिस प्रकार से जल को शुद्ध होने के लिए उसको सूर्य के संपर्क में आना होता है उसी प्रकार स जीव अर्थात ज्ञान को शुद्ध होने के लिए तपस्या की भट्टी में तपना पढ़ना है।

तपस्या का मतलब सिधा और बहुत सरल है, तपस्या अर्थात जीव जो शरीर में रहता है वह शरीर के द्वारा अथवा शरीर में होने वाले सभी संवेगों को अर्थात काम क्रोध लोभ मोह शोक दुःख सुख मान अपमान आशा निराशा लाभ हानि जय पराजय में सम रहता है। र जिसमें यह सामर्थ्य विकसित हो चुका है वहीं सच्चा ज्ञानी है। और जो अभी शरीर की वासनाओं से बंधे हैं उनको ज्ञान की साधना की परम आवश्यकता है।

Similarly, as long as knowledge resides in other beings other than humans, it does not get the opportunity to be purified, it gets the most opportunity to purify knowledge only in the human body, because the brain that the human body has when If he is full of wisdom, then he purifies his own life i.e. knowledge, in this way we have come to the conclusion that one who is very educated, or who is not educated at all, lives in the form of knowledge. Either Jiva or life is present with both, but that is not complete pure knowledge, just as impure water is dangerous for our body and life, in the same way our impure knowledge also takes us away from life and near to death. goes.

Wanting to get knowledge about himself, he gets lost from his life i.e. from the path of knowledge.

Knowledge means one who lives by his own experience, one who does not need someone else's experience to purify himself, who refines himself by his own realization, as our sages have done, we all too We are the children of sages, so we have the same consciousness that is full of knowledge, all we need is to accept ourselves as perfect and develop faith in ourselves continuously, develop our self-power, to live life. It takes effort and activism. Just as even the dirty water, when it comes in front of the burning flame of the sun, it is purified by its flammability and flammability, that is, it becomes vapor, and riding on the rays of the sun, it travels in infinite space. And it makes its shelter in that space in the form of a cloud, and then it rains on the earth in the form of pure water, in the same way our knowledge also when the world form gives a true realization of the pain of the body, then He rises above the body and enjoys through meditation in the conscious world present in his conscience and when it is related to the body, he acts in the same way as pure raining water from space. That's why water is called life. Water and living beings have the same speed, just as water has to come in contact with the sun to be purified, similarly the soul, that is, to be purified of knowledge, has to study in the furnace of penance.

The meaning of tapasya is simple and very simple, austerity means that the living being who lives in the body, he is able to control all the emotions caused by the body or in the body i.e. lust, anger, greed, attachment, sorrow, happiness, dishonour, hope, disappointment, profit, loss, victory and defeat. The one in whom this power has been developed is the true Gnani. And those who are now bound by the desires of the body Knowledge is an absolute necessity.
