                वैदिक भजन ११९० वां

                 राग अल्हैया बिलावल

            गायन समय दिन का प्रथम प्रहर

                 ताल कहरवा आठ मात्रा

यो मर्त्येष्वमृत ऋतावा देवो देवेष्वरतिर्निधायि । 

होता यजिष्ठो मह्ना शुचध्यै हव्यैरग्निर्मनुष ईरयध्यै।। 

                                           ऋग्वेद ४.२.१

                       वैदिक भजन

क्यों है अन्तस् में आत्मग्नि 

ना जिसमें अमृत रस की कमी 

मिट्टी हो जाएगा ये शरीर 

मगर आत्मा तो रहता अमी 

क्यों........... 

इन इन्द्रिय आदि देवों के 

बीच में आत्मा आकर बसा 

प्रयोजन एक ही केवल 

ये आत्मा बने प्रदीप अग्नि 

क्यों............ 

इस जीवन के द्वारा आत्मा 

खुद को करें विकसित 

मिले सामर्थ्य से ही प्रकाश 

कि ना हो ऐश्वर्यों की कमी 

क्यों............ 

यह आत्मा जो बना ' होता ' 

वह दान-आदान का है कर्ता 

करे इसके लिए बलिदान 

मिले ऐश्वर्य लक्ष्य तभी 

क्यों............. 

यह आत्मा यजिष्ठ है यजनिय 

जो पाये आन्तरिक ज्योति 

ये हो सकता तभी सम्भव 

आत्म- बलिदान की ना हो कमी 

क्यों.............

ये बाह्य अग्निहोत्र हमें 

क्रिया से प्यारा लगता है 

सहस्त्रों गुना यह आत्मग्नि 

आकर्षक प्रिय लगे हर घड़ी 

क्यों........... 

मिले रत्न से भर भूमि 

या हीरे मोती सोना चॉंदी 

तो स्वाहा करके इन सबको 

वह पाना चाहे आत्म-ज्योति 

क्यों............ 

ऐ भाइयों !देखो तनिक भीतर 

ज़रा उत्कंठित होकर कभी 

प्रदीप होने को आत्मग्नि 

प्रतीक्षा में है कब से खड़ी 

क्यों............ 

क्या तुम इसे करोगे नहीं प्रदीप्त 

जो प्रेरित कर रही है प्रबल 

ये अमृत यजन के ही लिए 

दे रहा प्रेरणा अग्रणी 

क्यों.......... 

                       शब्दार्थ:-

अन्तस्= अन्त:करण

अमी=अमृत, सुधा

प्रदीप्त= प्रकाशित होना

होता= यज्ञ करने वाला ,आहुति देने वाला

आदान= लेना, ग्रहण

यजिष्ठ= यज्ञ की तीव्र इच्छा रखने वाला

यजनीय= यज्ञ करने योग्य

स्वाहा= समर्पण करने वाला

उत्कंठा= उत्सुकता

यजन= यज्ञ करना

अग्रणी= नेता, स्वामी, 

              

यह आत्मग्नि हममें किस लिए रखा हुआ है? मिट्टी हो जाने वाले हम मर्त्यों में यह कभी न करने वाला अमृतत्त्व, सच्चा, सत्यरूप 'आत्मा' कहलाने वाला एक तत्व निहित है, इन इन्द्रिय आदि देवों के बीच में जो यह एक देव,  इन सब देवों में असङ्ग रूप से गया हुआ एक अमर देव रखा हुआ है, यह किस प्रयोजन के लिए है ? नि:संदेह यह इसलिए है कि यह हममें बढ़े, प्रदीप्त हो ,अपनी महिमा द्वारा विविध प्रकार से प्रदीप हो। यह जीवन इसलिए है कि इस द्वारा आत्मा अपने आप को विकसित कर सके। यह संसार इसलिए है कि इसमें आत्मग्नि अपना अधिक- से- अधिक प्रकाश कर सके, अपनी महान महिमा द्वारा अद्भुत सामर्थ्य द्वारा, अपने दिव्य ऐश्वर्यों द्वारा अपने आप को अधिक- से- अधिक प्रकाशित कर सके। इसलिए यह आत्मा ' होता ' बना है, दान- आदान करने वाला हुआ है। आत्मा के लिए हम जो कुछ बलिदान करते हैं, उसे हज़ारों  गुणा आदान उसके विविध ऐश्वर्यों के रूप में हमें प्राप्त होता है। इसलिए यह आत्मा ही यजिष्ठ, सर्वश्रेष्ठ यजनीय है। इसका ही यजन करके हमें आत्मिक सामर्थ्यों और आत्मिक ऐश्वर्या में अपने को प्रदीप्त करना चाहिए, किन्तु आत्मा से यह अद्भुत समर्थ्यों, दिव्य ऐश्वर्यों का आदान तभी हो सकता है जब हम आत्मा के लिए दान, आत्म- बलिदान करते रहें। ओह❗ यह दिव्य अग्नि तो मनुष्य को आत्म-बलिदान के लिए निरन्तर प्रेरित भी कर रहा है। बाह्य अग्निहोत्र का अग्नि यदि हमें कुछ प्रिय लगता है, यदि इसके प्रति हमें कुछ आकर्षण होता है तो इसमें सहस्त्रों गुना प्रिय और आकर्षक यह अपना अन्दर का आत्मग्नि है। यह प्यारा आत्मा जब दीख जाता है तब तो मनुष्य पृथ्वी भर को स्वाहा करके भी इसके प्रेम को पाना चाहता है।इसकी ज्योति इतनी प्यारी है कि उसके दर्शन मात्र से मनुष्य शेष सब अनात्म संसार को एकदम बलिदान कर देने के लिए उत्कंठित हो जाता है। इसलिए भाइयों ❗ तनिक देखो ❗अन्दर देखो ❗तुम में प्रदीप्त  होने की ही प्रतीक्षा में यह तुम्हारा आत्मग्नि  निहित है। क्या तुम इसे प्रदीप्त  नहीं करोगे? यह अमृत तुम्हें निरन्तर बलिदान( यजन) के लिए प्रेरित कर रहा है, क्या तुम उसकी बात नहीं सुनोगे?

kyon hai antas men aatmagni 

na jisamen amrit ras ki kami 

mittee ho jaayegaa ye sharir 

magar aatmaa to rahataa amee

beech mein aatmaa aakar basaa 

prayojan ek hi keval 

ye aatmaa bane pradipta agni

is jivan ke dvaraa aatmaa 

khud ko kare vikasit 

mile samarthya se hi prakash 

ki na ho aishvaryon ki kami

ye aatmaa jo banaa  'hotaa ' 

vah daan-aadan ka hai kartaa 

kare isake lia balidaan 

mile aishvarya lakshya tabhee

yah aatma yajishth hai yajaniya 

jo paaye aantarik jyoti 

ye ho sakataa tabhi sambhav 

aatm- balidan ki naa ho kami

kriyaa se pyaara lagataa hai 

sahastron guna yah aatmagni 

akarshak priya lage har ghadi

mile ratna se bhar bhumi 

ya heere moti sonaa chaandi 

to svahaa karake in sabako 

vah paanaa chaahe aatma-jyoti 

kyom............ 

ai bhaiyo !dekho tanik bheetar 

Zara utkanthit hokar kabhi 

pradipta hone ko aatmagni 

pratikshaa mein hai kab se khadee 

kyon............ 

kyaa tum ise karoge nahim pradipt 

jo prerit kar rahi hai prabal 

ye amrit yajan ke hi liye 

de rahaa preranaa agrani

 Amee=nectar, nectar

 Pradipt= to be illuminated

 Hota= performing sacrifices, offering sacrifices

 exchange= take, receive

 Yajishta= having a keen desire for sacrifice

 Yajniya= worthy of sacrifice

 Svaha= the one who surrenders

 curiosity= curiosity

 Yajana= to perform sacrifice

 Land filled with gems found 

 or diamonds, pearls, gold, and silver 

 So Swaha by all these 

 He wants to find self-light 

 Why............ 

 Hey brothers!Look a little inside 

 A little excited ever 

 Self-fire to be a lamp 

 Waiting for a long time 

 Why............ 

 Will you do it not Pradipt 

 which is inspiring dominant 

 These nectars are for the sacrifice 

 giving inspiration leading

 Why is this self-fire kept in us?  In us mortals who become dust, there is an element called 'Atma', the true, truthful 'Atma', which never does this, among these sense-like gods, which is this one God, an immortal who has gone unattached to all these gods  God is kept, for what purpose is it?  No doubt it is so that it may grow in us, be illuminated, illuminated in various ways by its glory.  This life is so that the soul can develop itself through it.  This world exists so that in it the Self-Fire may shine more and more of itself, by its great glory and wonderful power, by its divine opulences itself may shine more and more.  Therefore this soul has become ' becomes ', has become a giver of gifts.  Whatever we sacrifice for the soul, we receive in return thousands of times in the form of its manifold opulences.  Therefore this soul is the Yajishta, the best sacrificial.  By sacrificing it, we should illuminate ourselves in spiritual powers and spiritual riches, but this wonderful powers, divine riches can only be exchanged from the soul if we continue to make gifts, self-sacrifices for the soul.  Oh❗ This divine fire is even constantly inspiring man to self-sacrifice.  If the fire of the external Agnihotra seems something dear to us, if we have some attraction to it, it is thousands of times more dear and attractive than this is our inner self-fire.  When this lovely soul is seen, man wants to attain its love even by destroying the whole earth. Its light is so lovely that the mere sight of it makes man eager to sacrifice all the rest of the non-spiritual world.  So brothers ❗ Look a little ❗Look inside ❗It is your self-fire that lies in you just waiting to be ignited.  Won't you illuminate it?  This nectar is inspiring you to constantly sacrifice, will you not listen to it?
